High School
Jeff was the starting QB for the #1 team in NJ and the #6 ranked team nationally by the USA Today, St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, NJ. St Peter's beat then #1 ranked Bergen Catholic at Giants stadium in the state championship game in 1994. Jeff was undefeated, a varsity starter, and only lost two games he started in his 4-year career at Prep.
College
Jeff was a two-sport athlete at Wagner College (FCS); however, his passion was football. Jeff was the 1st non-FBS transfer to start at QB for Wagner in 7 years. Jeff was a 2-year starting QB at Wagner and
played during the program's streak of 23 consecutive seasons without a losing record. During his senior season, when the team lost 12 starters on both sides of the ball, Jeff set a few single-season school records, including total offense. He led three or four three-quarter comeback wins during the season, highlighted by a record 62-44 win at Jacksonville, where Jeff was responsible for 5 TDs. Jeff was named the team's MVP for the '98 season.
Professionally
After college, Jeff played professionally in Europe for one season. On his return stateside, he participated in a few AFL and CFL tryouts. After being unable to stick with a team, Jeff turned down other opportunities overseas to focus on a career in finance in New York City.
Coaching
On Jeff's return from playing in Europe, Jeff coached at Dickinson High School in Jersey City for the '99 season. After the season, Jeff decided to pursue a career in the finance world. Jeff started to get back into coaching youth football once his oldest son became interested in football. He has been active with Glen Rock youth football, where he ran their flag football offering for 2 years before being named their youth football director of operations. Jeff's stay in that position was short-lived after he had the opportunity to join the Bergen Stars youth football program. He was named the head coach of the 10u team in '23 and is still with that tackle program. During the springtime, Jeff has also been coaching QBs for now-named ASG-Metro, a top 7v7 football program in northern NJ. He has been a part of their staff since '22. Jeff has also offered a youth football spring training camp under Legit Football for the last few years. In 2024, Jeff was asked to be an instructor for ICON Football. That group began to run a football-specific talent evaluation platform for middle school players.
Personal Life
Jeff is married with two young boys and resides in Bergen County, NJ. Jeff was one of the founding members of The Bubba Fund, a tuition assistance scholarship fund at St Peter's Prep in Jersey City. The foundation was created to honor the memory of former teammate Bill "Bubba" O'Donnell, who also went on to be a star offensive lineman at Syracuse University.

Coach Cobb is a proud alumnus of Don Bosco Prep and currently serves the Ironmen as the Director of Recruiting and the freshman team's offensive coordinator.
He brings a wealth of experience, having been a critical member of Don Bosco Prep football from 2006 to 2009, during which the team achieved remarkable success with a record of 47-1.
Coach Cobb played a pivotal role as a two-way starter on the 2009 national championship team, contributing as a standout player in various positions, including DE, TE, LB, WR, and more. His accolades include multiple state championships and recognitions, such as all-league and all-county honors.
After high school, Coach Cobb earned a full football scholarship to the University of Virginia, where he red-shirted in 2010 before transferring to the University of Delaware. He became a four-year starter as a tight end and H-Back for the Fightin Blue Hens football team.
In 2014, Coach Cobb's leadership and community contributions were recognized with the AFCA All-State Good Works Team election.
His journey from high school phenom to college standout and now dedicated coach highlights his deep commitment to the sport and mentoring young student-athletes.

Coach Conroy serves the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen Football program as the freshman team's special teams coordinator and offensive and defensive line coach, in addition to his role as the Director of Football Instruction & Training for The Academy 3A.
Coach Conroy’s football career began as a standout player at Lodi High School, where he played under NJ Hall of Fame Coach Pat Tirico and was a member of the 2005 State Championship team. His coaching career started in 2006 with youth football, and he has since built an impressive resume that includes roles such as:
At Pace University, he inspired and mentored players as he developed their skills and fostered a winning mindset as the Assistant Linebackers Coach.
In addition to his football expertise, Coach Conroy is dedicated to education. A proud alumnus of Grand Canyon University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, combining his love for athletics with a solid academic foundation. He serves as an instructor for the educational program, sharing his knowledge in mathematics.
With a dual passion for football and academics, Coach Conroy embodies the qualities of a well-rounded mentor. Whether on the field or in the classroom, his commitment to student-athlete success is evident in everything he does.
DEFENSIVE BACKS | LINEBACKERS
His journey began in the 1980s at Randolph High School, a football powerhouse under the tutelage of the legendary John Bauer. It wasn't just about winning; it was about dominance. As a captain, he led his team to an unprecedented undefeated streak, etching a state record for consecutive wins that echoed throughout New Jersey football history. The accolades followed: All-America honors, AP All-State, All-Conference, and the coveted Player of the Year award. He was a force, a symbol of unwavering commitment.
His talent carried him to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he initially took the reins as a freshman quarterback. However, his versatility and defensive instincts soon led him to the cornerback position. By his senior year, he had solidified his place as a defensive stalwart, earning All-ECAC and All-Conference honors. He led the conference in interceptions and kickoff return average, leaving an
indelible mark on the UMass record books, where he still ranks among the all-time leaders in both categories.
The professional realm beckoned. He ventured into the Canadian Football League, playing for the late great Forrest Gregg. His first start was a baptism by fire, facing off against the legendary Doug Flutie. He intercepted Flutie once and nearly snagged another, a testament to his innate ability to read the game. He further honed his skills in the arena leagues, demonstrating his adaptability and resilience.
However, his true calling lay in coaching. He returned to New Jersey, beginning as a defensive backs position coach at Pope John High School. He mentored a generation of future stars there, including Malachi Moore, Noah Brown, and Ryan Izzo, laying the foundation for their collegiate and professional success. His impact was undeniable.
His coaching career blossomed. As defensive coordinator for five years, he led his team to a state title appearance against St. Joseph's, a team widely regarded as one of the greatest in New Jersey history. He served as the strength and conditioning coach for the state-champion boys' basketball team, nurturing the talents of Bryce Aiken and Mustafa Dang. He also coached alongside the esteemed Augie Hoffman at St. Joseph's, further refining his coaching philosophy.
As a defensive backs coach, he developed the skills of Terai Powell, Terrence Spence, Jimmy Ciarlo, and Conner Greico. His expertise extended to special teams, where he shaped dynamic kickoff and punt return units. His dedication yielded remarkable results: five consecutive state title appearances and three championship victories. He also shared his athletic expertise with the Paramus Catholic track team.
Beyond the scoreboard, his life is rich and fulfilling. He shares his life with his partner and her two daughters and is a proud father of twin boys. He passionately advocates for education, believing sports are a powerful gateway to personal growth and development. "Some of the best teachers in the world are coaches,’ he often says, reflecting his own commitment to mentorship.
With over 25 years of training experience and seven-plus years as a school teacher, he understands the importance of holistic development. He resides in Morris County, where he continues to inspire and shape the lives of young athletes.
His story is not just about wins and losses; it's about the enduring power of dedication, the transformative impact of mentorship, and the unwavering belief that sports can build character and forge lasting legacies. He is an architect of defense, a builder of champions, and a testament to the profound influence of a life lived with passion and purpose.
RECEIVERS | DEFENSIVE BACKS
Coach Guiliano is a dedicated member of the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen Football program, serving as the freshman team's assistant coach for defensive backs and wide receivers. His passion for the game and commitment to player development make him an invaluable part of the coaching staff.
A standout athlete during his time at Verona High School, Coach Guiliano played a key role in the team’s 2015 state championship victory. His talent and hard work earned him all-conference and all-county honors as a defensive back in both his junior and senior seasons. To this day, he holds the Verona High School career record for interceptions, a testament to his skill and football IQ.
In addition to coaching at Don Bosco Prep, Coach Guiliano shares his expertise as an instructor for The Academy 3A Football Reclass program, where he helps train the next generation of defensive backs and wide receivers. His deep knowledge of the game and ability to mentor young athletes make him a valuable asset both on and off the field.
OFFENSIVE LINE | LONG SNAPPERS
Jason Azzolino is a proud alumnus of Don Bosco Prep, where he played the offensive line and earned Second Team All-League honors in 2019 for the Ironmen.
Jason continued his football journey at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, where he excelled on and off the field. As a Center, he was a four-year starter and two-year captain and earned Second-Team All-Conference NEWMAC honors in 2023. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Minor in Business Administration and earned his MBA, showcasing his academic and athletic drive.
He joined the Salve Regina University football staff in 2024, serving as the offensive line coach and video coordinator.
Jason brings his leadership, strategic thinking, and passion for football to our program, where he’s committed to developing the next generation of student-athletes.
